Gary’s New Signing

Sir Gary of Barlow presented his new protogee to the watching world this week - 21-year-old classical warbler Camilla Kerslake. The Londoner got her big break via Gary after bombarding him with demo tapes at his London studio until the Take That frontman succumbed. Says Gary: “Her voice is a unique and powerful instrument - I was instantly captivated.” Camilla’s debut single She Moved Through The Fair is already spinning on Radio Two and she’s set to be the voice of Waitrose’s Christmas ad - as Gary laughed: “We’ve got Morrisons, M&S and Waitrose - all we need now is Asda, Tesco & Sainsburys.” RealMusic can vouch that the girl can certainly sing after seeing her this week amid a flurry of sparkles and champagne, the highlight of the show being Camilla’s rendition of Take That’s Rule The World, sung in Italian to add a touch of class.
